Here's my dilemma... this is the bedding set i want:

But, I don't actually want everything it comes with. I just want the comforter, sheets, skirt, bumper, valence and wall art thingys. But, the set doesn't come with the wall art. Insead they throw in the matchy-matchy diaper hanger, small pillow and useless toy holder thingy. I don't want to spend the money on those extras that I don't actually need... I wish I was more crafty; then I would make all this stuff and only the stuff I want. There's also a way cute rug that goes along with this set, but again, it's not included. boo. Ideas moms?

Lovin' the bump!

recap of day one...

and here I am today at 23 weeks...

He's doing good and so are we. We're looking forward to moving home in a month but will definitely be sad to leave our friends here! This semester has gone by SO fast! I thought it would drag on with senioritis but quite the contrary!

For those who haven't heard yet, we've decided we're not going to reveal our baby's name until he show's his face... so don't even ask :) We wanted there to be a surprise element to his birth that people can look forward to, and since we already revealed his gender, this is the next best thing, we think :) I swear it's not a weird made-up name that we're too embarrassed to tell people!

I can't wait until I'm no longer surrounded by vending machines

Why do I fool myself into thinking I can buy a pack, and only eat a couple a day? I know myself and yet my brain still plays these tricks on me. Stupid empty calories...

Our future is looking dry and sunny!

This morning I took Ransom to the airport so he can go check of AZ for the weekend. He is doing a campus tour of ASU today (I REALLY hope he loves it there), and then heading to Tucson tomorrow for a UA tour. Hopefully we'll be able to make a final decision on one of these schools by the end of this weekend (and hopefully they'll be throwing in scholarships to bribe us). They're both great law schools, but in my opinion, ASU is the better area to live in, and in Ransom's opinion, UA is the better school academically. We'll see.....

At this point, we have heard back from almost all of the schools Ransom applied to with the exception of Gonzaga and Alabama (which doesn't matter at all for our decision), and ASU hasn't techniqly accepted him either (they are notorious for being late). With that said, Ransom was accepted to Seattle, Miami, Pepperdine, Arizona and Indiana. We finally heard back from Duke, Harvard and Stanford, all of which declined him; oh well! There's $75,000/year we won't be paying back in student debts for years to come :)

As far as our final decision is concerned, we'll let you know when we know!

it's a BOY!!

We pretty much knew we were housing a boy since the first ultrasound at 11 weeks, but it's SO nice to have it confirmed! He's looking healthy and right on with his size! We can't wait to meet him!
